INITIAL CONFERENCE:
Because time is valuable, both to you and to the attorney, there is an initial consultation fee of $50. This fee will be applied towards future legal expenses. At the initial consultation we will gather information about your matter, tell you how we can assist you in that matter, and we will discuss whether or not to begin an attorney/client relationship.
HOURLY FEE RATES:
For matters not charged at a flat fee rate, you will be charged at an hourly rate. We keep a record of all time devoted to your matter, and it is recorded in tenths of an hour (six minutes is 1/10 hour). The current hourly attorney rate is $225 an hour, and the current legal assistant rate is $125 an hour. These rates are subject to change, so please check with our office. Hourly rate work is billed on a monthly basis at the end of the month, and any outstanding payment is due upon receipt of invoice. If you have paid a retainer, the charges and fees will be deducted as work is done.
RETAINERS:
A retainer will be required for any legal work to begin unless other arrangements are made in advance with the attorney. The retainer will be dependent upon the type and scope of work involved. The attorney will notify you of the required retainer at the initial conference.
OTHER CHARGES:
We do not charge extra for routine copies, postage, telephone charges, or local mileage. You will be billed for charges that we pay in your behalf, such as filing fees, service processing, certified or overnight postage, etc.
FLAT FEES:
Certain types of legal work are charged at a flat rate. Some of the typical flat fee matters are listed below, with the corresponding fees:
Standard Power of Attorney $75

Individual Will $375
Wills For Couple $500
(Will packages include Will, Living Will, Medical Power of Attorney, general Power of Attorney)
Simple Entity Formation* $325
Complex Entity Formation* $500
*An additional filing charge of $50 will apply.
Chapter 7 Bankruptcy $1800 Total
(This includes filing fee, credit counseling fees, credit report charge, and attorney's fee)
